You gain the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4) when you pass:
- the Applied Knowledge exams of the ACCA Qualification
the Foundations in Professionalism ethics module
Depending on when you take your ethics module, you could get this award in 6-12 months.
The Diploma is suitable for those aspiring to work or already working in the following types of roles:
- Basic bookkeeping;
- Trainee accountant in a commercial organisation or accounting practice;
Accounts clerk in the public or private sector.
- The Diploma in Accounting and Business is broadly equivalent to HND level/equivalent to the first year of a degree.
Students who successfully complete the Diploma in Accounting and Business via Foundations in Accountancy can continue to the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, or transfer to the ACCA Qualification and continue with the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional papers.

Martin Corboy AITI, FCMA, MBA
Martin Corboy is a graduate of UCD and came first in the world in his final CIMA exams. He is an Associate of the Institute of Taxation, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and an Academic Fellow of the Association of International Accountants. He has been lecturing to professional accountancy students for the last 16 years and he has a reputation as one of the top ACCA tutors in Ireland.

Georgina Skehan BA (Hons), MSc, FCMA CGMA
Georgina is an accomplished finance and accounting lecturer at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels. She placed 4th in Ireland when completing her own CIMA finals and has brought this expertise into the lecture hall with many of her students placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd in Ireland and 2nd – 15th in the world across a range of subjects in numerous exam sittings. Georgina has a reputation as being an approachable and supportive lecturer.

Foundations in Professionalism (offered by ACCA online)
Students must attend at least 80% of classes to graduate with either the Diploma or Certificate of Attendance unless a serious and verifiable reason for further absence is provided.
If completing the course online, attendance and participation is tracked through Moodle.
A pass grade on the written assignment will be required for awarding of the Diploma.

Management Accounting – Mondays 6.15-9.15 pm
Financial Accounting – Tuesdays 6.15-9.15pm
Some weekend lectures will be scheduled throughout the course.
