Professional Diploma in Data Analytics – Introduction is evaluating datasets using statistical tools to reveal useful and understandable information. Data analytics essentially examines datasets to uncover patterns, correlations, and other insights.

We’ll start by looking at the principles of the Data Analysis process and the types of data you’ll be working with. Then we’ll examine the business aspects of analytics, the stakeholders and the Key Performance Indicators they use for decision-making.

We then take a hands-on approach to guiding you through the tools that Data Analysts use every day; Excel, SQL/Databases, Python and Tableau, and how to apply these to real-world datasets and examples.

A pass grade on the written assignment will be required for awarding of the Diploma.

Similarly, the Project must be handed in on the due date unless a sound reason for lateness is provided. In such instances, an extension may be awarded at the discretion of the lecturer.

No prior qualification in data analysis is necessary for applicants, but you should possess an understanding of how Excel formulas work. Basic computer skills are required along with the ability to install software from online websites.
