Paul Noone
Dean, College of Information Technology
As Dean of the College of Information Technology in City Colleges, Paul Noone brings a wealth of experience in the IT Educational sector to this position. Paul is an experienced teacher of IT and believes strongly that a good level of proficiency in computer skills for everybody has never been more necessary and relevant. He also believes that there is an unacknowledged need for people to continually reassess their own level of IT knowledge and understanding, so as to ensure that they keep up-to-date in this ever-changing world and never to allow their IT skills to become obsolete.
Since graduating in Digital Technology at DIT, Paul successfully established his own Web and Graphic Design business, creating a large portfolio of clients. Paul ran this business successfully before turning his attention to the development and teaching of a suite of IT courses. Paul has been teaching ICT to students for more than 8 years, which puts him in the informed position of being able to introduce a range of the most relevant ICT Courses to City Colleges.
Paul is committed to developing a varied range of ICT Courses and Modules for City Colleges which are cutting edge and will reflect the ICT needs of today’s world. He is also committed to the provision of excellence in terms of course content and the quality of the teachers involved.
Prior to this, Paul was involved in the retail sector for many years, owning and running his own chain of outlets in Dublin. This business experience includes the introduction of a well-known international retailing brand to Ireland, involving the establishment of multiple outlets around Ireland.
